CEO of NoorVest
Born and raised in Syria with a deep passion for knowledge, leading him to earn a scholarship to the University of Rochester, where he studied Global Economics & Finance. After graduating, he entered Wealth Management in Washington D.C., becoming Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Despite his success, Tarif recognized a significant gap in ethical, halal investment opportunities for Muslim communities. Driven by this realization, he founded NoorVest, aiming to make halal finance accessible and redefine the Fintech landscape with integrity and innovation.
Dr. Abdullah Noman
PhD, CFP® at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
PhD, CFP® is an associate professor of finance at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Certified Personal Finance Counselor (CPFC). Dr. Noman has passed the Security Industry Essentials (SEI) and Series 65 exams administered by FINRA. His research interests include behavioral and personal finance, socially responsible investing, and asset pricing. With over a decade of teaching experience and publications in several academic journals, Dr. Noman also brings experience in Pro Bono financial advising.
